Our Story
Amanda and Kaylee first crossed paths in 2016, while both working for the Human Resources function at DuPont – Pioneer. They became dear friends in the trenches of corporate restructurings, employee investigations, policy redesigns, and numerous process improvement projects as the organization merged with Dow and spun into three companies. Both professionals found themselves working for Corteva Agriscience in Johnston, IA, at the home of Pioneer Seed after the M&A was complete.
Amanda and Kaylee departed Corteva to take on new roles in the early 2020’s and stayed in touch. The stars aligned in early 2025 when they each found themselves searching for new roles in a volatile job market. Together, they had dreamt of independent consulting throughout their friendship, and decided it was time to pursue it. In March 2025, Root + Branch was born.
The name "Root + Branch" reflects our love of nature and our philosophy toward business. We dig deep to uncover root causes and opportunities, building strong foundations that support sustainable, long-term growth. We partner to support the ever-evolving, visible branches seen in the teams, processes, and policies that ensure organizations thrive. ​​
